Single Origin: Guatemala Roast Level: Medium Process: Washed With notes of: Tangerine, Cashew, Bittersweet Chocolate Introducing Equinox, our September Roaster’s Pick. Roasted to a classic medium, expect a balance of brightness and depth, for a smooth, comforting brew. This fully washed Guatemalan lot comes from Finca Las Moritas, a family-run farm nestled in the Sierra de las Minas near Guatemala’s eastern highlands. Founded in 1988 by José Higinio Gómez and Aura Libia de Jesús, the farm has grown from a single acre into a thriving 150-acre coffee community that now anchors a town of growers, families, and small businesses. More about the bean: In the cup, you’ll taste tangerine-like brightness, smooth cashew nuttiness, and a long, bittersweet chocolate finish. It's composed of Bourbon, Catuai, and Caturra varietals, grown at 1850 meters and patio-dried at La Esperanza mill for optimal clarity and sweetness.
