Ro High Pendant

The Made by Hand Ro High Pendant blends early 20th-century craftsmanship tradition with contemporary Scandinavian design through its distinctive jute yarn construction and gracefully elongated cylindrical silhouette. This pendant features hand-wrapped natural jute cord around a minimalist metal frame, honoring the 1920s and 1930s tradition where lampshades were carefully handcrafted from yarn and natural fibers around wooden stands. The clean, vertical form adds tranquil presence without overwhelming the space. Whether you're illuminating dining areas where the taller proportions create elegant focal points above tables, bringing character to entryways where the graceful height enhances architectural drama, or installing it in living spaces where the extended vertical textures provide sophisticated ambient lighting, the Ro High Pendant delivers serene illumination and timeless contemporary appeal. This modern pendant is more than just beautiful. It features authentic jute yarn construction with blackened iron frame that celebrates the beauty of simple, honest materials, with soft vertical textures that gently diffuse light while preserving the warm, tactile character of the collection. Available in 23cm diameter (9") with 15.7" height for elevated presence, supporting E27 socket with maximum 60W capacity and generous 118-inch fabric cord for flexible installation heights. The hand-wrapped construction ensures each piece reflects traditional craftsmanship techniques while providing durable, natural lighting solutions that lend graceful presence to any setting. As a result, you can use it over dining tables, in stairwells, or above seating areas where both functional illumination and elegant vertical design statement enhance spatial harmony. Made by Hand, based in Copenhagen, designs with innovation, sustainability, and fine craftsmanship at its core. The Ro High Pendant reflects the brand's commitment to celebrating understated luxury in the Scandinavian tradition, collaborating with designer Kim Richardt, a former blacksmith and autodidactic designer with deep passion for craftsmanship and authentic creations in natural materials. Founded in 2014 with a vision for developing durable design objects made by local craftspeople, they create lighting that embodies Danish "hygge" and simple human feelings of well-being. Through traditional yarn-wrapping techniques and thoughtful elongated proportions, Made by Hand helps you build spaces that feel both authentically crafted and beautifully considered with serene Danish design sophistication.
