Rizzard Women’s Hiking Kilt

100% Trail Rizz. Zero Apologies. Righ-Ard — “High King.” Around here, we just call it the Rizzard Hiking Kilt. The name Righ-Ard draws from Scottish Gaelic and evokes the idea of a high king — a fitting name for a kilt made to take on high trails, rough country, and long days outside. This is not a quiet tartan. Built around deep black and charcoal tones, the Rizzard explodes with flashes of high-visibility orange, red, gold, blue, and gray, creating a pattern that feels just as at home on a rugged mountain trail as it does at a Highland festival, campsite, or post-hike brewery. We wanted a hiking kilt with some attitude — something that still felt unmistakably Scottish, but looked completely different from anything else in the Sport Kilt lineup. The result is a bold, energetic tartan with serious Trail Rizz. Like all of our hiking kilts, the Rizzard is designed for movement. The pleated construction gives you plenty of freedom for climbing, scrambling, hiking, and whatever else the trail throws your way, while the lightweight Sport Kilt design keeps things comfortable when the miles start adding up. And when the sun comes out and the temperature climbs, you’ll remember exactly why hiking in a kilt makes so much sense. Why You’ll Love the Rizzard Bold custom Rizzard / Rìgh-Àrd tartan Black, orange, gray, blue, red, and gold color palette Lightweight and comfortable for hiking Pleated construction for unrestricted movement Breathable, open-air alternative to hiking pants or shorts Machine washable and easy to care for Built for trails, Highland Games, festivals, camping, and everyday adventures Made by Sport Kilt in Heber City, Utah What Does “Rizzard” Mean? The more respectable name is Rìgh-Àrd, (High King – Hi-king – Hiking – get it?) inspired by Scottish Gaelic and the rugged character of the Highlands. But once we saw this tartan, one name stuck around the shop: The Rizzard. Because some kilts have heritage. Some have performance. This one has Trail Rizz. Throw it on, hit the trail, and prepare to get noticed.
