Riveted Chainmail Aventail for Helmet | Type 2 Riveted Chainmail Aventail for Helmet | Type 2 is made for bascinets with long visors, including ROA helmets, tournament bascinets, and side-pivoting visor bascinets in general. It works as a replacement aventail when your old chainmail becomes worn, damaged, stretched, or unreliable after years of combat use. TL;DR Riveted chainmail aventail for bascinet helmets Fits long-visor bascinets, ROA helmets, and tournament bascinets Good for side-pivoting visor helmet types Made from flat rings Half solid rings and half riveted rings Standard size fits our helmets for 55–62 cm (21.7–24.4 in) head circumference Standard full circumference: 80 cm (31.5 in) Stretched circumference: 100 cm (39.4 in) Height: 18 cm (7.1 in) Custom sizing available by measurements This aventail protects the neck and lower head area while keeping the helmet flexible enough for real armored combat. It helps close the gap under the helmet edge, which matters when you take side hits, shoulder pressure, or strikes from behind in mass battles. We make it from flat rings with a half-solid and half-riveted construction. As a result, the aventail stays flexible around the neck while keeping enough strength for regular buhurt and armored combat use. The listed price applies to a standard-sized aventail made for our helmets. This standard version fits helmets made for 55–62 cm (21.7–24.4 in) head circumference. For heavily customized helmets or unusual attachment layouts, the final price may change. Therefore, please add your measurements in the order comment, so we can check the fit before production. Measurements We Need 1 — Full bottom circumference of your helmet 2 — Chainmail height from the attachment point to the lower edge of your padded aventail These measurements help us adjust the aventail to your helmet shape. So, it covers the neck correctly, sits at the right height, and does not hang too short or too long during movement.
