River Rocks Quilt Pattern

Create a beautifully organic quilt with the River Rocks Quilt Pattern, an improv-inspired design that captures the look of smooth stones stacked and scattered across a bright background. This pattern gently guides you through the process with specific rock dimensions, a suggested layout, and clear construction steps so your quilt top comes together with confidence. Random angles and varied fabric choices make every finished quilt completely unique, whether you choose earthy neutrals, soft florals, bold solids, or a scrap-friendly mix. Designed for intermediate quilters, River Rocks uses traditional piecing and includes three finished size options: crib quilt, small throw, and large throw. It is a wonderful starting point for makers who are curious about improvisational quilting but still want structure, measurements, and a reliable path to a polished finish. The result is a modern, nature-inspired quilt with movement, texture, and handmade character that feels equally at home in a nursery, living room, or cozy retreat.
