Riscio Table Lamp

The Karakter Riscio Table Lamp, designed by Joe Colombo in 1967, is a brilliant example of modern design. Its triangular shade seems to almost float above the cylindrical base, creating a light and friendly aesthetic that complements any space. Available in three timeless colors—dark red, white, and midnight blue—this lamp seamlessly fits into both private homes and public spaces. Additionally, the Karakter Riscio Table Lamp provides a strong light and features an integrated touch-based dimmer, allowing you to easily adjust the brightness to suit any occasion. The name "Riscio," meaning "rickshaw" in Italian, reflects Joe Colombo’s deep appreciation for Asian heritage and culture. Known for his innovative and functional designs, Colombo aimed to create versatile furniture and objects that served multiple purposes. His experimentation with new materials and technologies led to the creation of "machines for living." As a result, the Karakter Riscio Table Lamp stands as a prime example of Colombo’s timeless design philosophy, blending beauty, functionality, and flexibility in a single, iconic piece. Karakter Copenhagen proudly brings the Karakter Riscio Table Lamp to life, staying true to its Scandinavian design roots while also appealing to a broader global audience.
