Ripple Corded - Black Anodized

The RBW Ripple Corded takes that same innovative cast solid glass with ripple texture and makes it work for people who want premium lighting without hardwiring - perfect for renters, temporary setups, or anywhere you want flexibility to move things around seasonally. The ripple pattern creates these interesting light effects on walls that change dramatically depending on which finish you choose - Frosted pushes out nearly 700 lumens for serious task lighting, while Copper gives you just 66 lumens for subtle accent mood lighting. Each piece of cast glass is genuinely unique because of how the material behaves during manufacturing, including those small air bubbles that are actually part of the quality standards rather than defects. Having this range of performance options in a plug-in format means you can really experiment with different lighting effects without committing to permanent electrical work. The performance is optimized for DC input but works fine on standard AC power if that's what you're working with. Getting up to 697 lumens from 10W on the Frosted version is legitimately impressive efficiency for portable lighting, and the 90 CRI means colors look right instead of washed out or weird. Being rated for dry locations only keeps it indoors, but that covers most situations where this kind of refined portable lighting makes sense. ADA compliance is unusual for plug-in fixtures and useful if you're doing commercial work or accessibility-focused residential projects. The 50,000-hour lifespan means you're getting essentially permanent lighting even in a moveable format. RBW clearly invested serious development time in this design - having a U.S. patent application approved for issuance tells you they've created something genuinely innovative rather than just putting a cord on existing technology. Their approach to offering such dramatically different performance across finishes within the same basic platform gives you real lighting flexibility rather than just cosmetic choices. They seem to understand that the best portable lighting shouldn't force you to compromise on quality, performance, or aesthetics just because you want the freedom to plug in rather than hardwire.
