Riff Vault - Modern Metalcore

Welcome to Riff Vault Riff Vault is a series of premium curated guitar sample packs built for musicians, producers, and composers working across a wide range of genres. Each pack goes deep into a specific style, offering riffs, grooves, and chord progressions that actually capture how the genre sounds and feels.  The Modern Metalcore Building Toolkit Riff Vault - Modern Metalcore is the third release in the Riff Vault series, built specifically for one of the most emotionally charged and sonically varied subgenres in heavy music today. The thing about modern metalcore is that it is not one sound. Bad Omens sounds nothing like Architects. ERRA sounds nothing like Spiritbox. The genre spans melodic vulnerability, technical aggression, and cinematic weight, sometimes within the same record. This pack tries to cover that full range. Over 600 real guitar performances across riffs, chord progressions, crushing breakdowns, and atmospheric ambient leads. Tuned in Drop A, Drop C, and Drop G. Three tempos. Two iconic mix-ready tones, a complete stereo and mono DI package, and 270 Bass MIDI files across every tuning and tempo. If you want a complete foundation for a modern metalcore production, this is probably it. Hear It In Action These demos were built the same way you would use the pack. Drop a riff in, add a breakdown, layer an ambient lead, bring the bass in with the MIDI files. No extra sessions, no additional recording needed. Feature Overview Genre-Authentic, Professionally Recorded Every sample in Riff Vault - Modern Metalcore is a real human guitar performance, recorded by Graham Terry on his Jackson. Not a MIDI simulation. Not a virtual instrument approximating what a guitarist might do. Every pick attack, breakdown hit, and chord transition was performed with the genre's actual sonic vocabulary in mind, drawing on the records that define modern metalcore. Mix-Ready Tones: Two fully processed, mix-ready tones come with every rhythm sample. Tone 1 is a 6505-style amp, probably the amp most associated with modern metalcore and post-hardcore over the past two decades. Tone 2 is a powerful Dual Rectifier-style sound. Both are dialed specifically for the genre and ready to drop into a mix without touching anything. DI Performances: Every rhythm performance includes a left mono DI, a right mono DI, and a pre-combined stereo DI. Run them through any amp sim you already use. The stereo DI makes reamping straightforward. One file, plug it in, go. And if you are already in the JST ecosystem, the DIs pair naturally with any Toneforge plugin. Versatile File Formats: You get the tones and the DIs. Use the mix-ready tones if you want results immediately, or take the DI files and build your own sound. Both options are fully available for every performance in the pack.. True Stereo Width: Each riff, chord progression, and breakdown features separate left and right DI performances. That is genuine stereo width, recorded rather than manufactured in post. Your guitar tracks will sit in a mix the way real double-tracked guitars do. Drop Tunings Built for the Genre: Drop A, Drop C, and Drop G cover the tunings modern metalcore actually uses. Mid-range punch through to extended low-end territory, depending on what the track needs. Tempo Versatility: 120, 140, and 160 BPM covers the range from slow breakdown territory to fast, driving passages. The tempos are close enough that time-stretching between them stays clean, which gives you more flexibility than it might look like on paper. Riff Vault - Modern Metalcore Include Hard-Hitting Riffs: 90 driving rhythm guitar riffs across all tunings and tempos. Built to anchor the main sections of a track, though you can use them wherever they fit. Dynamic Chord Progressions: 90 chord progression samples across all tunings and tempos. Rich harmonic content that works as a foundation or as a layer over something heavier. Crushing Breakdowns: 90 breakdown patterns built for impact. Cut them, rearrange them, build your own variations. They are starting points, not fixed ideas. Atmospheric Ambient Leads: 90 ambient lead performances across all tunings and tempos, delivered as both raw DI recordings and processed versions run through JST Skybox. These are the parts that give the heavy sections something to contrast against. A lot of sample packs skip them entirely. 270 Bass MIDI Files: One MIDI file for every guitar performance in the pack, locked to the guitar part it was written for. Drop them into Bassforge Hellraiser for a result that matches the demo exactly, or route them through any bass plugin you already own. Endless Inspiration Build complete modern metalcore tracks without a guitarist, a recording space, or a full band. Over 600 real guitar performances, two iconic mix-ready tones, a complete stereo and mono DI package, and 270 Bass MIDI files, all in a drag-and-drop workflow. You can have a working arrangement before you have had time to second-guess it. That is the point.
