Rico Sofa 4

The Ferm Living Rico Sofa 4 is the ultimate statement piece when you need serious seating capacity but don't want your living room to look like a furniture showroom. Since it's made to order, you get to choose from their extensive fabric collection across multiple groups - everything from soft bouclé with that amazing textured feel to brushed chenille and premium Kvadrat options like Hallingdal that completely transform the character of the piece. What makes this four-seater work so well is how the curved backrest flows seamlessly into the armrests, creating this embracing quality that actually makes large gatherings feel more intimate rather than formal. At 260cm long, it's genuinely spacious enough for four adults to sit comfortably without that awkward elbow-bumping you get with smaller sofas trying to accommodate too many people. The construction quality becomes obvious pretty quickly when you're hosting those longer dinner parties or family movie nights. The backrest uses molded foam over an inner metal structure that provides real support even when people are leaning back and settling in for hours, while the seat combines polyurethane foam with a wooden frame for that perfect balance between sink-in comfort and lasting durability. At 76.5cm high with those signature curved lines, it provides proper support without feeling rigid or too formal for everyday use. The low-density polyethylene feet are cleverly hidden by upholstery that extends nearly to the floor, giving it this floating appearance that actually makes large rooms feel more proportional rather than dominated by one massive piece of furniture. Ferm Living approaches furniture design from Copenhagen with that Danish understanding that large pieces need to enhance family life rather than dictate how you live. They recognize that a four-seater sofa will become the heart of your home - the place where kids do homework, friends gather for conversations, and families spend weekend mornings reading together. The Rico collection reflects their philosophy of creating pieces that work as hard as they look good, combining the elegance you want for special occasions with the everyday comfort that makes a house feel like home. Through their partnership with skilled Italian craftspeople and focus on premium materials, they create furniture that becomes integral to how you actually use your space rather than just impressive pieces you worry about protecting.
