Rickel home improvement stores started out in 1946 when brothers Al, Mort, and Bob Rickel started a heating business in Newark, New Jersey. A few years in, they bought a warehouse full of plumbing supplies and decided to expand their business. Since none of the brothers knew anything about plumbing, and because supplies like they had were usually sold wholesale, they decided to open one of the first do-it-yourself retail home improvement stores! At its peak, Rickel boasted over 90 stores and was the leading hardware, plumbing, heating, and electrical retailer in the areas it served. In the late 90s, a variety of factors, such as competition with Home Depot, forced Rickel to close its doors. 50/50 cotton-poly blend. Made and printed in the USA.
