Even in low-light environments, early mornings, or late afternoons, the system maximizes current generation. The thin, narrow physical footprint allows you to place them linearly along your roof borders, opening up prime space for ventilation fans or cargo boxes. Advanced Bravo 30A MPPT Regulation Unlike standard, budget PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) controllers that clip excess voltage, the included Bravo 30A MPPT controller constantly calculates the precise optimum voltage and current to pull the absolute maximum wattage possible out of your panels. It increases solar charging efficiency up to 30% compared to conventional units, keeping your lithium or deep-cycle battery banks fully safe and healthy. Rugged, Weather-Hardened Construction Designed to endure severe highway driving conditions and remote overlanding trails, each panel is encased in a heavy-duty, anodized aluminum frame. Built-in bypass diodes protect individual panel cells from overheating due to localized shading from overhanging tree branches or roof accessories. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) What makes a "Slim" solar panel kit better for vans and RVs? Standard 100W solar panels are wide and squarish, which can completely block specialized van and camper roofs. Slim panels feature long, narrow dimensions. This allows you to mount them efficiently side-by-side or around high-top roof vents, maximizing your total potential wattage without cluttering your build. Can this RICH SOLAR kit charge Lithium LiFePO4 batteries? Yes. The Bravo 30A MPPT charge controller features multi-chemistry support. It can be easily programmed to safely manage Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4), Sealed AGM, Gel, and flooded deep-cycle lead-acid batteries with optimal charging profiles. Does the 400W kit support future expansion? The system is designed with scalable component paths. The Bravo 30A MPPT controller handles up to 400W of input on a standard 12V battery setup. If you plan to scale past 400W of solar generation in the future, you can easily transition your panels into a higher voltage 24V battery architecture configuration or add a secondary standalone controller. How do I wire the four panels together in the 400W kit? This master kit includes high-capacity Y-Branch parallel adapters (RS-Y2). Most off-grid vehicle builders configure the system using a series-parallel or direct parallel wiring scheme to maintain proper input voltage limits for the Bravo charge controller while safeguarding the system against complete drops from partial shading. Are mounting brackets included with this purchase? Yes. A complete set of heavy-duty aluminum Z-Brackets (RS-ZB4C) along with all necessary connection nuts and bolts is included right inside the box, allowing for a fast and secure permanent hard-mount solution directly to your roof or crossbar array.
