Rhipsalis baccifera subsp. horrida – A Wild, Tropical Cascade Rhipsalis baccifera subsp. horrida is a fascinating subspecies of the mistletoe cactus, known for its thicker, more angular stems and slightly bristly texture compared to the smoother parent species. Native to tropical forests, this epiphytic cactus thrives in humid, shaded environments and grows in a cascading or spreading habit. It produces small, white to greenish blooms followed by pearl-like white or pinkish fruits, adding a delicate touch to its rugged form. 🌿 Key Features: ✔ Thicker, Textured Stems – More robust and angular than the typical Rhipsalis baccifera. ✔ Trailing or Sprawling Habit – Ideal for hanging baskets or naturalistic displays. ✔ Seasonal Blooms & Berries – Tiny white flowers give way to translucent fruits. ✔ Epiphytic & Non-Spiny – Grows well in indirect light with good airflow and humidity. 📏 Size: Stems can reach up to 3–5 feet long, forming a lush, arching display over time. With its slightly wild look and cascading growth, Rhipsalis baccifera subsp. horrida adds texture, movement, and a tropical flair to any indoor or shaded garden space. 🌿
