Revolution for Cat

Revolution for Cat is a selamectin topical parasite treatment for cats and kittens when used according to veterinary directions. You can buy Revolution for cats online, view the current price, and choose the cat size range and quantity shown during ordering. Match the weight band, product name, and treatment schedule to the directions given for your cat. Revolution topical solution for cats is applied to the skin, not given by mouth. It is used for parasite control in labeled feline uses such as flea control, heartworm prevention, ear mite treatment, and treatment or control of certain intestinal worms. Do not substitute a dog product, a different cat weight band, or Revolution Plus unless your veterinarian has specifically changed the plan. Price, Cat Sizes, and Quantity Choices Revolution for cats price should be read together with the cat weight range and tube count. A lower displayed amount may reflect a different pack quantity or a different feline size band. The practical comparison is not only the cash amount, but also whether the carton matches your cat’s current weight and the intended number of scheduled applications. Revolution for cats cost can vary by size range and supply quantity. Common search terms may mention ranges such as 5.1-15 lbs or 2.6-7.5 kg, but the number that matters is the labeled weight band on the product you choose. Do not estimate a dose from your cat’s appearance or use a tube intended for another animal. If you are considering Revolution for cats without insurance or as a cash-pay purchase, separate the medicine amount from any veterinary exam, testing, diagnosis, or follow-up costs. Flea infestation, ear mites, intestinal worms, and heartworm risk may require clinic testing or household treatment decisions beyond the topical tube itself. Detail to review What to match Why it matters Cat weight range Use the current weight band for your cat. Weight bands correspond to labeled tube strengths. Tube count Confirm how many single-use tubes are included. Quantity affects total supply, not one-time dose size. Active ingredient Look for selamectin on the carton. This distinguishes Revolution from other parasite products. Species Choose a cat-specific product. Dog parasite products should not be used on cats. Product name Match Revolution, not Revolution Plus, unless directed. The Plus product has a different ingredient profile. Quick tip: Compare weight band, tube count, and active ingredient before judging the value of a box. How to Order Revolution for Cats Online Order Revolution for cats online by choosing the feline product, the correct weight range, and the quantity that matches the intended treatment plan. Keep your cat’s name, current weight, and clinic information available because accurate records help reduce delays or product mismatches. We may review order details when product, pet, or clinic information appears inconsistent. For U.S. customers using US delivery from Canada, the same product-selection checks still apply: the carton should be for cats, the weight band should fit the animal, and the quantity should make sense for the directions you were given. Choose the feline product: Avoid dog formulations and unrelated parasite products. Match the weight band: Use a recent clinic or home scale weight. Review the quantity: Tube count should fit the intended supply period. Keep records consistent: Use the same pet name and clinic details. Retain the carton: Labels help identify the exact medicine if questions arise. Do not change the size range, apply extra liquid, or shorten the treatment interval to address an active infestation unless a veterinarian has instructed you to do so. More product is not automatically more effective, and excessive exposure can increase the chance of adverse effects. What Revolution for Cats Does Revolution for cats contains selamectin, an antiparasitic medicine in the avermectin class. It helps control specified internal and external parasites by affecting parasite nerve and muscle function. Cats receive it as a topical dose placed on the skin, where it is absorbed and distributed according to labeled directions. Manufacturer information describes Revolution for cats for flea control, prevention of heartworm disease, treatment of ear mites, and treatment or control of certain intestinal worms. For condition-specific background, related feline care categories include feline flea infestation, feline ear mite infestation, and feline heartworm disease. Heartworm prevention is not the same as treating established heartworm disease. A cat with coughing, breathing difficulty, vomiting, collapse, or suspected exposure needs veterinary evaluation. Cats may develop serious respiratory signs even when worm numbers are low, so prevention decisions should be tied to local risk and clinical assessment. For intestinal parasite concerns, fecal testing and species identification can matter. Revolution labeling includes activity for certain roundworms and hookworms in cats, but parasite medicines are not interchangeable. Condition pages for feline roundworm infection and feline hookworm infection can help you understand the category while final diagnosis and product choice remain clinical decisions. Revolution vs Revolution Plus and Other Cat Parasite Products Revolution is not the same as Revolution Plus. Revolution for Cat contains selamectin. Revolution Plus contains selamectin plus another active ingredient and has a different parasite coverage profile. The products may look similar because both are feline topical treatments, but their labeled organisms and safety considerations are not identical. Other topical parasite products may focus on fleas, ticks, ear mites, intestinal worms, or heartworm prevention in different combinations. A cat with fleas may also need environmental control, while a cat with intestinal worms may need testing and follow-up. Start with the parasite being treated or prevented, then choose the product and weight band that match the veterinary plan. Broader browsing is available through the pet medications category. Use category browsing to understand nearby product types, not to replace the active ingredient, species, and weight-range requirements for your cat. Comparison point Revolution for Cat Why to verify Active ingredient Selamectin Ingredient changes can alter parasite coverage. Species Cats and kittens within labeled directions Species-specific safety matters with parasite medicines. Use style Topical skin application It is not an oral tablet or chew. Nearby product Revolution Plus is different Do not substitute based on name similarity alone. Why it matters: Similar packaging or names can still represent different ingredients and parasite coverage. Application and Handling Basics Revolution feline topical solution is applied to the skin as directed on the package and by your veterinarian. The usual method involves parting the fur and placing the liquid where the cat cannot easily lick it. Apply only to intact skin, and avoid wet, irritated, or broken areas unless a clinician has said otherwise. Each tube is intended for single use in the labeled weight range. Do not split one tube between cats, combine leftover liquid, or use multiple tubes because a cat seems larger than expected. If your cat misses a scheduled application, ask the clinic how to restart rather than doubling the next use. Separate pets briefly: Prevent licking or grooming until the area is dry. Wash your hands: Clean skin after handling the tube. Avoid eyes and mouth: Topical medicine should stay on the application site. Do not bathe immediately: Follow the label for bathing or water exposure timing. Save the package: Keep the product name, lot information, and size visible. Some cats dislike the feel or smell of topical liquids. Mild, brief grooming concern can happen, but repeated licking, drooling, vomiting, marked agitation, or neurologic signs should be discussed with a veterinarian promptly. Storage, Travel, and Shipping Considerations Store Revolution for cats in its original carton, away from children and animals. Follow the temperature range and handling instructions on the package. Do not leave topical parasite products in a hot car, transfer them into unmarked containers, or store opened tubes for later use. When traveling, keep the carton with the tubes so the product name, active ingredient, species, and weight range remain clear. This is especially useful if a pet sitter, boarding facility, or veterinarian needs to identify what was applied and when. Some pet medicines may be handled with prompt, express, cold-chain shipping when appropriate for the product and route. Shipping language does not change the way Revolution should be stored after arrival. Inspect the carton, keep labels intact, and contact the store if the package or product identity appears unclear. Safety, Side Effects, and Monitoring Most cats tolerate selamectin when it is used as labeled, but side effects can occur. Report unexpected reactions, especially after first use or after changing product size. Commonly described local effects include temporary hair loss, clumped fur, powdery residue, redness, or mild irritation at the application site. If a cat licks the wet area, drooling, lip-licking, vomiting, or brief discomfort may occur. Separate treated animals until the site is dry to reduce grooming exposure. Seek veterinary help urgently for weakness, tremors, seizures, severe lethargy, trouble breathing, facial swelling, collapse, or repeated vomiting. Tell your veterinarian about other flea, tick, heartworm, or deworming products used in the household. Combining parasite preventives can increase exposure to related ingredients or duplicate coverage. Also mention if your cat is underweight, elderly, sick, pregnant, nursing, or a young kitten, because individual health status affects safety decisions. Manufacturer labeling describes use in cats and kittens 8 weeks of age and older. Do not apply it to younger kittens unless specifically directed by a veterinarian. Sick or debilitated animals may need evaluation before topical parasite treatment, even if the product is commonly used in healthy cats. Before use: Confirm species, age, current weight, and product name. After application: Watch the skin site and behavior for changes. During flea control: Treat all household pets only with species-appropriate products. For heartworm risk: Ask whether testing or prevention is needed locally. For reactions: Keep the carton so the clinic can identify the exact product. Household Flea Control and Follow-Up Revolution cat flea treatment can help address fleas on the treated cat, but household flea control may require more than one topical application. Flea eggs, larvae, and pupae can remain in bedding, carpets, furniture, and outdoor resting areas. Untreated pets can also maintain the infestation cycle. Vacuuming, washing bedding, and treating every household pet with an appropriate species-specific product may be part of the plan. Never apply a dog flea product to a cat or allow close contact with a freshly treated dog unless the product label and veterinarian say it is safe. If scratching, hair loss, flea dirt, tapeworm segments, or skin sores continue after treatment, contact the veterinarian. Persistent signs may reflect reinfestation, flea allergy dermatitis, mites, secondary infection, or another skin disease that needs a different approach.
