Reverse Applique w/ Erin

With just a few basic embroidery stitches, you can turn a plain (or stained) shirt, sweatshirt, or hoodie into a unique work of art! Use your own design, or use a stencil to mark your design onto your garment. Learn basic embroidery stitches and mark-making to create your design. We’ll explore ideas and learn how to secure your fabric to your piece of clothing. We will baste stitch the fabric and garment, and then plan out your design onto the garment. We’ll practice a straight stitch and backstitch, and you’ll get started on your embellishment. Once we have outlined your pattern, we will use your sharp scissors to cut out and expose the interior fabric. Erin will help with problem-solving as you keep working on your wearable masterpiece.
