Reverence: Creating Ritual in Modern Life

Reverence is a worldview; a way of approaching life with wonder, care, gratitude, and respect. In this vibrant, full-color, 160-page hardback book, Christine Marie Mason offers an accessible guide to do exactly that: to reconnect with the wonder of life through the long-held powers of ritual and ceremony. Modern life can be a sensory bludgeon, moving fast, with so many inputs and rarely any pauses. But, if we are not in love and enchanted with life, it’s all a chore; overwhelm and disconnection so easily become our default state. Thankfully, finding greater inner peace and fulfillment requires only a few minutes per day and a shift in perception. In “Reverence,” Christine Mason, the Founder of Rosebud Woman and a champion of women's wellness, offers an accessible guide to do exactly that: to reconnect with the wonder of life through the long-held powers of ritual and ceremony. ----- $19.20 Read More Reverence is an invitation to anchor meaning in daily life, and to walk with deeper awareness of our precious connections to each other and to the planet we are part of. By appreciating small spots of beauty throughout our days (that become how we spend our lives), we slow down and witness, feel and celebrate and make meaning, alone, and together with others. While this quieting seems so simple in essence, it is also deeply challenging to our contemporary ways of thinking and interacting with the world. That is why Reverence offers dozens of designed experiences, like practical magic, to inspire the reader to deeply drink in the beauty of life— in all of its daily joys, milestone celebrations and losses. The guide is especially helpful for those who struggle to meditate and sit in complete stillness. Instead, the book offers small activities and observances, completely separate from our daily routines and responsibilities. Using all of our senses, we tune in to the smells, textures, tastes and sights of our surroundings, creating distinctiveness. In practicing a sensory noticing and appreciating of things, we interrupt our inner dialogue to celebrate the soft inherent beauty of life. We leave our ritual, paying better attention, making space for new ideas to grow and expecting a hint of magic. Whether you are grieving a relationship, searching for greater connection with your loved ones, or transitioning along with a new moon or season, Reverence offers experiences that create greater reciprocity with life itself. Christine includes personal, partner and communal rituals for daily living, for thresholds, new beginnings, celebrations and losses. She invites readers to take on reverence as a worldview, and have the tools to approach life with wonder, care, gratitude, and respect. Release Date: 11/11/21 Publisher: Moonglow, Inc.
