Revelations

David LaChapelle - Revelations The artwork by David LaChapelle, Revelations was made in 2019 and is a limited edition chromogenic print of 3 copies + 2 artist's proofs. The work depicts two elderly ladies and gentlemen intent on sharing a passionate kiss in the middle of a deserted street where something catastrophic seems to have just happened. Described as "the Fellini of photography," LaChapelle's style can be traced back to the Baroque because of the deliberately excessive presence of elements in his shots. His photographs are characterized by a distinct irony and a clear vision of contemporary society. His shots tell the modern world in his own way, very Pop and with little intellectualism.  The artworks are the result of craftsmanship in which compositions are elaborate and colors are saturated. The work measures 70x70 in. and is made on dibond. Revelations is hand-signed.
