REV120 Red Velvet Agate Specimen

This Red Velvet Agate polished specimen features moss agate in feathery white and solid red in translucent agate, with tiny open vugs, and tan shades along one edge. 13.6cm x 15.2cm polished surface approx. 2.5" deep 2lb 4.6oz Red Velvet Agate comes from northern Mexico and typically shows translucent to white agate streaked with bright shades of red - like streaks of red velvet cake in white icing. It forms in veins and could also be called a jasp-agate as it combines translucent and opaque chalcedony. It can have feathery bands, brecciated patterning and moss agate, all in red hues from orange to 'fleshy' pinks or deep reds, or some golden yellows.
