REV109 Red Velvet Agate Specimen

This Red Velvet Agate polished specimen features red and golden-orange brecciated bands and moss in translucent agate, with tiny open vugs and tiny black dendrites. 12.9cm x 11.6cm polished surface approx. 1.25" deep 1lb 1.2oz Red Velvet Agate comes from northern Mexico and typically shows translucent to white agate streaked with bright shades of red - like streaks of red velvet cake in white icing. It forms in veins and could also be called a jasp-agate as it combines translucent and opaque chalcedony. It can have feathery bands, brecciated patterning and moss agate, all in red hues from orange to 'fleshy' pinks or deep reds, or some golden yellows.
