Reserve Madagascar Ibis Jasper Sphere 2.62"

This Reserve Madagascar Ibis Jasper Sphere is a beautifully polished piece, measuring 2.62" in diameter and weighing .88 lbs. Completely polished to a glossy finish, each piece of Ibis Jasper reveals its own unique combination of colors, patterns, and mineral formations, making every specimen distinctly one of a kind. Ibis Jasper is a distinctive material from Madagascar, known for its complex brecciated appearance, created by naturally fractured material that was later mineralized and re-cemented together. The result is an intricate mixture of jasper and chalcedony with flowing bands, angular fragments, layered formations, and dramatic transitions throughout the stone. Colors can vary considerably from piece to piece, ranging from earthy neutrals and warm tones to greens, grays, creams, reds, and blue-gray chalcedony. Some also feature beautiful areas of white crystalline growth, and some may display natural pockets, rough areas, cavities, or smaller crystal-lined openings — areas where the stone's complex structure resists a perfectly uniform polish — all of which add depth and character to the finished piece. Because of its Madagascar origin and varied chalcedony-rich patterning, Ibis Jasper can sometimes resemble certain varieties of Ocean Jasper or Polychrome Jasper, but its more fragmented, brecciated structure gives it a distinctive character of its own.  Designated for our Reserve Collection, this specimen stands out for its substantial size, beautiful polish, complex internal patterning, and dramatic one-of-a-kind presence. Round acrylic stand included. For a premium stand, shop the the Stands & Accessories Collection.
