While some netting and ropes may last longer, it depends on the amount of competition/training use as well as the weather conditions they have endured. For safety purposes, UCS recommends replacement after five (5) years as a general safety rule. Replacement Nets - Heavy-duty, polypropylene netting. Nets meet and/or exceed NCAA and/or World Athletics standards. Discus cage nets comply with DLV 190.3 and hammer cage nets comply with DLV 192.3. Nets will fit UCS-manufactured hammer/discus and discus cages only. Net Color - Black IMPORTANT - UCS Replacement Netting and Ropes onlyfit specific UCS cages.
