Discontinued by Reno A&E. The BX-LP is a single channel, low power loop detector with two relay outputs and a rear 11-pin Amphenol connector. It runs on 12 VDC (10 to 12 VDC) and draws 1.1 to 5.5 mA with no vehicle on the loop, depending on the sensitivity setting. Reno A&E built the BX-LP series for solar and battery powered installs. Output A runs Limited Presence or True Presence. Output B duplicates Output A, or gives a 250 ms pulse on entry or on exit. A 2 second call delay can be applied to both outputs. Eight sensitivity levels are set on a rotary switch, with four loop frequencies and a fail-safe or fail-secure setting for Output A. Relays are rated 6 A. The housing is 3.00 x 1.75 x 4.30 in, excluding the connector, and it operates from -30°F to 180°F. Before You Order No longer made by Reno A&E. EDI does not name a direct replacement. This is the 12 VDC relay version. The BX-LP-24 was the 24 VDC version and the BX-LP-SS had solid-state outputs. Wires with an 11-pin harness such as the Reno A&E LMH802-4. A standard BX detector draws much more current. Check the solar or battery budget before using one as a substitute.
