Leisure Time Renew | Non-Chlorine Shock

Leisure Time Renew is a fast-dissolving granular non-chlorine shock oxidizer formulated specifically for spas and hot tubs. Active chemistry: 32.18% potassium peroxymonosulfate (DuPont Oxone) in a pH-buffered carrier. Renew oxidizes the soaps, body oils, lotions, deodorants, sweat, and organic waste that bathers leave behind in spa water — clearing cloudy water, eliminating odor, and restoring the freshness that disappears after a few uses without shock. Every soak adds invisible organic load to your spa water. Sanitizer (chlorine, bromine, ozone) handles the bacteria, but it doesn't fully break down the oils, residues, and chloramines that build up over time. Skip shock for a few weeks and the result is predictable: cloudy water, foam on the surface, a "used" smell, and eyes that sting after twenty minutes in the tub. Sanitizer levels can look fine on a test strip while the water is quietly turning into a chemical soup. Renew oxidizes that organic load on contact — restoring water clarity, eliminating odors, and freeing up your sanitizer to do the job it was meant to do. Because it's chlorine-free and pH-buffered, the spa is usable again in just 15 minutes, not the hours required after a heavy chlorine shock. Renew works in any spa, with any sanitizer system, and is also the activator for Leisure Time's chlorine-free Reserve & Renew sanitizing program. Pro Tip: The right time to shock is after spa use, not before. Bathers are what introduce the organic load Renew is designed to oxidize — shocking afterward attacks that load while it's fresh, before it has time to combine with sanitizer or cloud the water. A standing rule of "shock after every soak, balance and sanitize before" eliminates 90% of the cloudy-water problems hot tub owners run into. Brand Leisure Time®
