At 7.56" overall, the RTPT-KBC is a compact EDC titanium folding knife. Is M390 good knife steel?Yes — the Remette RT-Meteor RTPT-KBC uses Bohler M390, a high-end powder-metallurgy stainless steel prized for outstanding edge retention and high corrosion resistance. The RTPT-KBC adds a dark DLC coating for extra scratch and wear protection. What handle material does the Remette RT-Meteor RTPT-KBC have? The Remette RT-Meteor RTPT-KBC features a DLC-finished titanium alloy handle with a Kelp Bed CamoCarbon carbon fiber inlay — lightweight, rigid, and highly corrosion resistant, with a one-of-a-kind camo carbon pattern on every knife. What is CamoCarbon?CamoCarbon is a very high quality, USA-made camouflage-pattern material produced from aerospace-grade carbon fiber. It's made under high heat and vacuum pressure, resulting in a tough, strong fabrication material — and every sheet's pattern is unique, so no two knives share the same camo carbon fiber pattern. The Kelp Bed CamoCarbon inlay on the Remette RT-Meteor RTPT-KBC is genuine CamoCarbon. What is a button liner lock? The Remette RT-Meteor RTPT-KBC uses a button liner lock, sometimes called a top liner lock — a newer hybrid design that adds a push-button release to a classic liner lock. Opening the blade lets a spring-steel liner inside the handle snap in behind the blade tang, locking it open with the crisp, reliable feel of a traditional liner lock. Pressing the button levers that liner aside so the blade closes freely. And since the button sits on the handle rather than in the blade channel, you can close the RTPT-KBC one-handed without ever putting your thumb in the blade's path. What is a drop point blade?A drop point blade, as featured on the Remette RT-Meteor RTPT-KBC, has a spine that slopes gently down to the tip, creating a strong point and a large cutting belly — one of the most versatile blade shapes for everyday carry. Where can I buy the Remette RT-Meteor RTPT-KBC?The Remette RT-Meteor RTPT-KBC is available at Going Gear, an authorized Remette dealer.
