Regal 250INT Protein Skimmer

The Reef Octopus Regal 250-INT Protein Skimmer steps up to a 36V VarioS-6S variable-speed pump for larger reef systems, handling 300 gallons at heavy bioload up to 635 gallons at light bioload. The hybrid conical body concentrates rising foam while the DC controller gives you five power settings to match output to your tank's actual waste load. Bioload capacity: 300 gallons (heavy), 500 gallons (medium), 635 gallons (light), excluding sump Pump: VarioS-6S variable-speed pinwheel pump, 36V, 5 power settings Control features: float switch input, 15/60-minute feed-pause modes, 0-10V third-party controller input, integrated memory Recommended sump water height: 7.9-10 inches The wide bioload range — more than double between heavy and light ratings — reflects how much the DC pump's variable speed actually matters: the same skimmer body handles very different tank sizes depending on how hard it's run. Compatible replacement parts: VarioS-6S pump kits sized for the Regal 250 series.
