This is a handsome, well made and easy to use system that represents great value for money. It goes on to deliver a level of performance that is absolutely top notch and extremely hard to rival at the price. The new Aya loudspeaker is a radical looking thing and a brave engineering decision but the performance it offers is absolutely sensational and a great complement to the electronics range. " Rega Planar 6/Ania review - Read More "Rega aims high and scores with a wonderfully refined, articulate and precise turntable that's lovely to listen to" - What Hi-Fi?     Rega Planar 6 - Read More "I think the words I’m searching for are coherence and cohesion. The way Oscar and Herbie interweave their flourishes at breakneck speed on Naptown Blues should be thrilling and are, but it’s how the Rega paints the quieter moments with the finest of brushes that’s so special. Meanwhile, genre shifts are nailed. The half-speed remaster of EBTG’s Amplified Heart is fully realised with excellent stereo and clarity, while the interplay between double bass and synth on Missing seems effortlessly fluent and purposeful. Simply gorgeous"   Rega Planar 6 Turntable Review - Read More "Listen to it with remotely capable supporting equipment though and the Rega shows it has been worth the wait. This is a startlingly good turntable and an elegant demonstration of Rega’s design philosophy continuing to evolve and improve. It handles anything you throw at it with real ability and enjoyment and manages to balance technical ability with musical joy in a way that Rega has made their own of late. This is a magnificent turntable and while it is almost certainly the pick of the pack without its cartridge at £998, it is when combined with the Ania it truly excels. For turntable arm and cartridge combinations under £1,500, the Rega is truly outstanding and an unconditional best buy." - Ed Selley   Rega Planar 6 - Read More "The Rega Planar 6 is a heck of a turntable. Not just for the money but in the general scheme of things, only the obsessives like myself really need anything better. If it weren’t for the RP8 I would challenge you to find a better turntable and arm combo for less than three times the asking price here. Yes it needs decent isolation and a good cartridge and phono stage, but every turntable does, and the P6/Ania package is very competitively priced. The RP6 was a more powerful and lively version of a P3, the P6 is a whole other beast, one with considerably greater subtlety and finesse. So don’t let it’s discreet styling fool you, this is killer turntable that gets to the heart of the music in an effortless and high resolution fashion the like of which is still very rare." - Jason Kennedy   The joy of Six - Read More "There are aspects to the Planar 6’s design that point to new approaches from Rega. The jury may still be out on the Polaris grey finish, but the good news is that once you start listening, any reservations on its looks quickly fade away. Partnered with Rega’s Ania moving-coil cartridge it delivers a level of performance that is pretty much untouchable for less than £1,500. It may have seemed as though it took forever to arrive, but the resulting Planar 6 is a simply outstanding turntable that’s well worth the wait" - Michael Fremer   Rega Planar 6 – Review - Read More "Although the Planar 6 looks a bit boring, or shall I say ‘cooly understated’, it is a mighty performer.  I feel the sound is a fraction lighter than I might have expected as I’m always looking for the cartridge to drag out every ounce of bass from a groove.  The openness of the delivered sound, however, is the USP for this turntable and it is really exceptional piece of equipment.  With a system such as this, it is fine turntable.
