Reflection Cards for Kids

Holstee Reflection Cards for Kids are a fun way to engage young minds by sharing stories, expressing feelings, and revealing hopes and dreams. Every deck includes 100+ thought-provoking questions organized into five categories: Learning, Relationships, Feelings, Just for Fun, and Hopes & Reflections. Perfect for kids to use with their friends, family, or in the classroom! A great way to get kids to open up! Holstee Reflection Cards for Kids are designed to help children age 6 and up and their caregivers go far beyond “How was school today?” and the one-word responses that usually follow. Similar to the original Holstee Reflection Cards, each card offers two questions: an icebreaker with a fun and funny prompt to warm things up and on the opposite side a deeper question that requires just the right amount of vulnerability and introspection. The story behind the Reflection Cards for Kids. This product’s journey began the moment our original Reflection Cards landed in the hands of a curious 9-year-old named Shireen (Mike and Dave’s niece). Shireen loved using the cards to ask questions and share her responses with friends and family. She also had some great feedback for us, while she loved the questions, but not all of them were perfect for kids. “You should make a deck of Reflection Cards, but just for kids! I can help!”  — Shireen (our niece), age 9 We began asking every kid we knew about the best questions to ask other kids. We also asked their parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, teachers, and older siblings, too. ;-) Kid tested, expert approved. Then came the hard work of narrowing down our excellent list of questions to make sure only the best questions remained. To be certain that every question speaks the language of today’s kids, we enlisted two breakout leaders in the mindful parenting movement: Hannah and Kelty of Upbringing.co. With their guidance, we tweaked the questions until each one was pitch-perfect for young and curious minds. “Engaging this way with our kids can be an incredible way to slow down and build awareness, connection and trust around critical topics that otherwise may be overlooked in our busy day to day lives. Each card can remind us that our kids are the ultimate experts of themselves, and is a reminder to us that we can be a safe place to listen and learn from them... even after the cards have been put away." — Hannah and Kelty, Upbringing.co  The result is a deck of 100+ questions that spark joy and meaning for kids and adults! Beautiful, functional, and fun. Each card has a colorful, playful design, representing the unique adventures, stories, and ideas that make each of us who we are. Together, the cards make a single, connected piece of art — a reminder that it’s stories and conversations that connect us. Quality & sustainability.
