It has a very natural sound with an extremely smooth frequency response that extends well beyond the human hearing range. The dual chamber design and absence of ferrofluid results in a low resonance frequency and fast response to delicate details in the music without any harshness. The Reference Series Woofer utilizes a super low-distortion motor system with two short-circuit paths and a rigid black anodized aluminum cone. The low-distortion characteristics and high excursion capabilities provide exceptional clarity, detail, and wonderful dynamics. They also feature a low restriction cast frame, low-loss rubber surround, and a solid aluminum phase plug.
