Redsun Hybrid Carrot Seed

Rich red—right to the core—unique and gorgeous! Sow in late summer so the cylindrical, Nantes-type roots can mature to their best color and flavor in cooler autumn conditions. A big taste improvement over previous red carrot varieties, 'Redsun' is sweet and mellow, with a subtle tang that everyone loves. Savor as a crunchy snack or grate into salads for color and zest. When lightly steamed, the color becomes more vibrant and natural sugars caramelize, so you'll definitely want to add this special carrot to seasonal soups and stews. Its red hue isn't just for show. Nutrition-wise, 'Redsun' is rich in lycopene (like red tomatoes and watermelon). Benefits include providing cancer-fighting antioxidants, enhancing eye and brain health, and soothing neuropathic pain. 70 DAYS.
