Redhaven Peach Tree

Redhaven Peach Tree has earned its place as an orchard standard by delivering the combination most gardeners want: handsome fruit, reliable crops, and classic peach flavor. Medium peaches color heavily red over golden skin, creating a bright, polished appearance around firm yellow freestone flesh. The flavor balances sweetness with refreshing tang, while the texture remains substantial enough for clean slices before becoming increasingly juicy as the fruit ripens. Redhaven is excellent eaten fresh and one of the most useful peaches for freezing, canning, drying, preserves, pies, and cobblers. Its adaptability and consistent production make it an inviting first peach tree, but the quality of its fruit keeps experienced growers planting it as well. For shoppers who value a proven variety rather than a novelty, Redhaven offers the familiar fragrance, versatility, and dependable summer abundance that helped define the modern peach orchard. Redhaven needs about 800 chill hours and grows in USDA zones 5–9. Incoming 2027 trees are on Nemaguard standard rootstock. This variety generally ripens from early to mid-July, with timing varying by region and season. Redhaven is self-fruitful and productive alone. Another compatible peach may encourage pollinator activity and support fruit set. 2027 rootstock: Nemaguard. Nemaguard is a vigorous, standard rootstock with resistance to root-knot nematodes. Good drainage is essential; plan for standard-size growth and regular pruning. Earlier-season trees may have a different rootstock; check the tree label or your order confirmation. Mature dimensions and spacing depend on the variety, site and pruning system.
