Redfern Plaid Wallpaper - 3235

Redfern Plaid - 3235 sets a deep forest-green tartan against charcoal-black bands, muted teal undertones, and fine russet-brown lines for a dark, tailored wall. The layered grid has a dense woven character that feels more like classic menswear than rustic cabin decor. Use Redfern Plaid in offices, dens, bedrooms, entryways, reading rooms, dining spaces, home bars, or boutique interiors. Style it with walnut, blackened metal, aged brass, tobacco leather, warm oak, cream, amber glass, or collected artwork. Printed in Michigan and available in smooth, textured, high-tack, prepasted, and traditional wallpaper options.   Perfect For • Home offices, studies, libraries, and dark reading rooms • Bedrooms, guest rooms, and tailored primary suites • Entryways, stair halls, and moody transition spaces • Dining rooms, dens, home bars, and media rooms • Lodges, lake houses, mountain homes, and collected traditional interiors • Boutiques, clubs, restaurants, offices, and hospitality spaces Why This Design Works Redfern Plaid is built around depth rather than contrast. The forest-green and near-black bands sit close in value, so the pattern feels immersive from across the room, while narrow russet and copper-brown lines become more noticeable up close. That layered effect gives the wall a textile quality and keeps the plaid from reading flat or overly graphic. Unlike a lighter country plaid, Redfern leans darker and more urban. It works especially well with warm wood, leather, brass, black metal, and vintage photography, creating a room that feels collected and tailored without becoming themed. Who This Is For Choose Redfern Plaid if you want a plaid wallpaper with a darker, more sophisticated presence than a soft sage or beige tartan. It suits customers drawn to English-country references, dark academia, heritage menswear, moody offices, intimate dining rooms, masculine bedrooms, or layered lodge interiors. It is also a strong fit for designers who need a pattern that can carry a full wall without relying on florals or bright color. The dark green base gives it color, while the charcoal and russet structure keeps it grounded enough to coordinate with neutral furniture and natural materials. The pattern reads as deep forest green and charcoal-black with muted teal-green undertones, warm russet brown, and fine copper-brown striping. Is Redfern Plaid a tartan-style wallpaper? Yes. The design uses layered crossing bands, narrow pinstripes, and a dense woven-looking grid that gives it a tailored tartan character. Does this wallpaper read more green or black? Green is the defining color, but the charcoal-black structure is strong enough that the finished wall reads dark and moody rather than bright green. What style does Redfern Plaid fit? It works with tailored traditional, English-country inspired, dark academia, heritage, lodge, masculine, collected modern, and moody interiors. What rooms work best with Redfern Plaid? Offices, libraries, dens, bedrooms, entryways, stair halls, dining rooms, reading rooms, home bars, and hospitality spaces are especially strong placements. What should I pair with Redfern Plaid? Walnut, warm oak, tobacco or cognac leather, aged brass, blackened metal, cream textiles, amber glass, vintage photography, and collected artwork all work naturally with the palette. Can Redfern Plaid work on all four walls? Yes. Because the colors are dark and closely related, the repeat can feel enveloping rather than busy. Good lighting and lighter trim or textiles help keep a full-room installation dimensional. Can this wallpaper be used in a bathroom? Yes, in a well-ventilated bathroom or powder room when installed on a properly prepared wall and kept away from direct water and wet edges. Traditional wallpaper is generally the strongest long-term choice for demanding spaces. Will peel and stick work on textured walls? Peel and stick performs best on smooth, clean, dry walls. Test a sample first. Noticeable texture may require skim coating and priming, or a high-tack or traditional material depending on the wall. What wallpaper materials are available? The current James & Colors wallpaper lineup includes smooth and textured peel-and-stick options with standard or high-tack adhesive, plus prepasted and traditional paste-required wallpaper. Should I order a sample first? Yes. An 8 x 8 in sample lets you compare the deep green, charcoal, russet striping, scale, finish, and adhesion in your own lighting before ordering full panels. Installation and Ordering Notes • Samples measure 8 x 8 inches. • Wallpaper panels are 24 inches wide. • Peel-and-stick panels install with a 1/2-inch overlap and are numbered from left to right. • Pre-pasted and traditional wallpaper panels install seam to seam. • Lay panels flat before installation and confirm the numbered order before applying the first panel. • Newly painted walls should cure for at least 30 days before wallpaper installation. • Measure the full wall width and height without subtracting doors, windows, or other openings. • For a plaid installation, establish a precise plumb line and avoid stretching peel-and-stick panels so the vertical and horizontal bands remain square.
