Redcab®

Redcab® from Barefoot Coffee Roasters is comfort in a cup—a washed Mexican coffee from Veracruz that delivers approachable flavor without sacrificing complexity. Sourced from partnering farms working with APG (Asociación de Productores de Granotec), this lot showcases what meticulous processing and quality control can achieve at every stage from cherry to export. The result is a coffee that welcomes newcomers and rewards seasoned drinkers with clean, layered sweetness. Tasting NotesExpect hints of chocolate sprinkles on the nose, leading into a nutty base that's both grounding and inviting. The body is smooth and creamy, with a texture that feels full without weighing down the palate. The finish is clean and balanced, making this a coffee that doesn't fatigue—ideal for all-day drinking. Acidity is gentle and integrated, providing just enough brightness to keep the cup lively without dominating the cocoa and hazelnut tones. Brew MethodsRedcab® shines across a range of methods. As espresso, it pulls beautifully with a syrupy body and persistent chocolate sweetness—no milk required, though it also makes an excellent cappuccino or latte base. Pour over methods like V60 or Chemex highlight the coffee's clarity and nutty character, while French press amplifies the creamy mouthfeel. Drip coffee drinkers will find this an easy daily drinker that never gets boring. About the CoffeeThis lot features a blend of bourbon, catimor, caturra, and typica cultivars grown at 900–1,200 meters above sea level in Veracruz. APG's wet-mill process includes meticulous sorting, extended fermentation with pH and temperature controls, and slow drying on raised beds. The coffee is stored in Grainpro cocoons and milled at APG's dry mill—the same facility trusted to prepare 2022 Cup of Excellence winning lots. From farm to export, Redcab® receives personal care at every step. Not sure which grinder pairs best with Redcab®?
