Redbreast 21-year 700ml

Experience the pinnacle of Irish whiskey with the 2021 Redbreast 21 Year Old, a masterful blend of tropical fruit, rich dried notes, and intricate spices. Triple distilled and aged for over two decades in the finest oak, this exquisite expression offers an unforgettable journey for the discerning palate. Tasting Notes Nose: A captivating and complex bouquet immediately greets the senses. A vibrant burst of tropical fruits—think ripe mango, guava, and pineapple—intertwines gracefully with rich, dark dried fruits like figs, dates, and sultanas. Underlying these fruit notes is a creamy, soft vanilla bean sweetness, seamlessly integrated with a distinctive fleshy malt character. A pronounced sherried nuttiness, reminiscent of toasted almonds and walnuts, emerges, beautifully balanced by an intricate array of baking spices, including cinnamon, nutmeg, and a whisper of clove. Palate: The palate unfolds with an impressive depth and luxurious texture, a testament to its age and triple distillation. The tropical fruit notes from the nose translate into a succulent, jammy sweetness, complemented by a persistent wave of dried apricots, raisins, and candied orange peel. The vanilla becomes more custardy, merging with a rich, buttery malt that coats the mouth. The sherried influence is both sweet and savory, presenting notes of marzipan and polished oak. A delicate peppery spice and a hint of dark chocolate add complexity, preventing it from becoming cloyingly sweet, maintaining excellent balance. Finish: A remarkably long and satisfying finish that tapers gracefully. The tropical fruit and dried fruit character lingers, gradually transforming into a warm, spicy glow. The soft vanilla and malt persist, beautifully interwoven with the echoes of sherried nuts and a gentle, satisfying oak tannin. There’s a pleasant dryness that develops, inviting another sip, leaving behind a memorable impression of complex sweetness and sophisticated spice.
