Red Rocket Red Maple

A slim, sky-seeking red maple that rockets upward with brilliant scarlet fall color in a space friendly footprint FEATURES:  Strongly upright, narrow form ideal for tighter spaces Classic red maple foliage that blazes scarlet in fall Dense canopy provides cooling shade without a wide spread Excellent along driveways, streets, and property lines Tough, adaptable, and dependable in urban or suburban settings Low maintenance with naturally tidy structure Ships on our trucks because of the size of the tree; does not fit in a box Bower & Branch Landscape Design Tip:  Plant Red Rocket in full sun for the strongest growth and the best red fall color. Give it consistent water during the first few seasons to establish deep, sturdy roots, then transition to deep watering during prolonged dry spells. A wide mulch ring around the base will help conserve moisture and protect the root zone, but keep mulch away from the trunk. Prune lightly while the tree is young to encourage a strong central leader and clean vertical structure. This is an excellent tree for repeating in a row to define a space; think of it as a living colonnade that changes with the seasons.
