Red Pine Hardcover Notebook

This is a 'living notebook' made from unprocessed Japanese red pine shaved to an astounding thinness and then dried. The soft fragrance of red pine is present.  Each sheet of wood is individually bound.  This new introduction has a  hardcover and 'German style' binding.  No matter which page you open to, the book opens flat at 180 degrees without having to press it down with your hands.  A favorite page may be easily displayed as a work of art. Recommended for writing down important records you want to keep forever - reminiscences, collections, and sketches.. or as a base for ephemera such as stamps and tickets. 100 pages. Size B6 (5"x7").  Packaged with a light blue obi band. As each page is alive, you will notice changes over time - perhaps a change of color, some slight warping or a tear along the grain - please enjoy this natural unfolding.  Pen, pencil, brush pen, etc may be used - only mechanical pencil is not recommended.
