Red Dragon 2" Radius Carbide Cutter - RD2R2

The 2” radius profile on this Red Dragon™ carbide cutter is designed to provide enhanced control of the tool for shaping and fine cuts since it can engage only a small portion of the cutter rather than the entire cutting edge as with a square edge profile. Another benefit of the radius profile is that the corners won’t dig into the work surface when making traversing cuts because the leading edge is swept back, making it perform very similar to a radius edge shear scraper. Where this carbide cutter really shines is turning pens and mandrel based projects. The size of the cutter and radius profile excel at cutting convex profiles and making clean, controlled cuts in hard materials like acrylic pen blanks and stabilized pen blanks. If you are looking for a carbide cutter for turning pens, this is the one to get. Available exclusively from Craft Supplies USA, Red Dragon™ carbide turning tool cutters feature a Gold Titanium Nitride coating bonded to the cutter surface, resulting in a razor-sharp cutting edge that lasts up to 3 times longer than standard uncoated carbide cutters reducing downtime and replacement costs. Quality, durability, and value make Red Dragon™ carbide cutters a solid choice for today’s woodturners. Try one today, and we think you’ll agree.
