Rectangular Microfiber Applicator Sponges (Black)

The right applicator for liquid detailers, spray waxes, dressings, and interior protectants is one that applies product evenly without absorbing too much, leaves no lint or residue, and is gentle enough for any surface. The Rectangular Microfiber Applicator Sponges check every box — a microfiber face bonded to a dense foam core that holds product and releases it smoothly across paint, plastic, vinyl, leather, and trim surfaces. At Chicago Jax Wax, we keep a stack of these in every detailing kit. They're the go-to applicator for spray detailers, interior protectants, dressings, and any liquid product that needs to be worked into a surface rather than just wiped on. The rectangular shape covers more surface area per pass than a round applicator, making application faster and more efficient on large panels. Where They Work Best Spray detailers & quick detailers — applies product evenly across paint for a streak-free finish Interior protectants & dressings — works product into dashboard, door panels, and trim surfaces Leather conditioners — gentle microfiber face won't scratch or abrade leather Tire dressings — applies evenly to tire sidewalls for a consistent finish Trim restorers & plastic dressings — works product into textured plastic and rubber trim Key Features Microfiber face — soft, lint-free surface that's gentle on all surfaces and leaves no residue Dense foam core — holds the right amount of product without over-saturating Rectangular shape — covers more surface area per pass for faster, more efficient application Washable & reusable — machine washable and holds up through repeated use How to Use Apply a small amount of product to the microfiber face of the applicator Work across the surface using overlapping strokes, applying even pressure For interior surfaces, use a light touch and work product into textured areas with a circular motion Follow with a clean microfiber towel to buff off any excess Machine wash after use and allow to air dry Pro tip: Designate specific applicators for specific product types — one for interior dressings, one for paint detailers, one for tire dressings. Cross-contaminating applicators can transfer product to surfaces where it doesn't belong and cause streaking or staining.
