Rectangles in Ochre No. 5

Ryan Snow’s work explores themes of consciousness, resonance, and perception through harmonic geometric abstraction and the use of naturally sourced mineral pigments. Working with minimal forms and layered translucent washes of color on raw canvas, he investigates the relationships between balance, proportion, tone, and atmosphere, creating contemplative compositions that encourage stillness, clarity, and presence. Through repetition, subtle shifts in form, and careful tonal calibration, Snow examines how color and structure shape both perception and emotional experience. His restrained visual language invites sustained observation, revealing the quiet ways harmony and balance can influence our connection to the spaces we inhabit.
