Long Rectangular Storage Bins

The "Quality That Lasts" Strategy If you have a professional 12-inch or 14-inch deep closet system, standard square bins are a mistake. They leave 2 to 3 inches of "dead space" hidden at the back of the shelf. That’s where socks and small items go to die. We designed the Large Deep-Profile Tweed Storage Bin specifically to solve this. At 13.5 inches deep, these bins use every inch of the shelf you paid for, sitting flush with the front edge for a clean, built-in appearance. As early innovators in solid wood shelving, we know that bulkier items like heavy denim or plush bath towels create a lot of outward pressure. Most bins are just fabric bags that "belly out" the moment you fill them. Our bins feature a reinforced structural core and a solid bottom-panel insert so they stay perfectly square. They are built to stand the test of time and handle the daily life wear and tear of a high-traffic master closet or mudroom without sagging. The Real-World Difference: Zero Wasted Depth: These are engineered to match the footprint of high-end shelving. You get about 30% more storage volume per shelf simply by utilizing the "black hole" at the back of your closet. The Tapered Slide: We designed these with slightly tapered sides. This isn’t just for looks—it prevents the bin from creating friction or "suction" against the shelf walls, making it effortless to slide a heavy load in and out. Grommet Handle Strength: For a bin this deep, a standard stitched handle isn't enough. We used inset grommet handles so you can get a secure grip for a full-depth "tug," even when the bin is packed with heavy cleaning supplies or winter gear. Designer Tweed Durability: The textured tweed is a "Smart Money" choice. It’s significantly tougher than standard canvas and hides dust and scuffs far better than flat-colored fabrics. Functional Uses for the Bulk Organizer: The Linen Refresh: Deep enough to hold full-sized bath towels and sheet sets in organized rows rather than messy piles. Mudroom "Drop Zones": Use these on the lower shelves of a bench for boots and sports gear. They are heavy-duty enough to handle the "throw and go" nature of an entryway. Utility & Laundry: A stable home for oversized detergent bottles and irons that usually clutter up the top of the dryer. What's Included: One Collapsible 13.5" Deep-Profile Rectangle Storage Bin with a solid bottom-panel insert. Available in Cream, Grey, Olive, Burgundy, or Navy. The Trusted Advisor Tip: Your goal is to buy a system once to save money and time, so here is how you use these effectively: Don't use deep bins for small things. If you put socks or belts in a 13.5-inch deep bin, you’ll be digging for minutes. Use these for the "Anchors"—the bulky items like sweatshirts, towels, or gym bags. Because these are tapered, they are actually easier to use at eye-level than square cubes. If you’re tight on space, remember that these are collapsible. I keep a few spares folded flat behind the bins on the shelf—since the bin is 13.5" deep, there is still plenty of room to hide them.
