This one is built and finished, sitting in our shop in western Wisconsin, ready to ship. Flamed maple against walnut — the figure in the maple catches the light differently every time you walk past it, which is the whole reason we keep buying the stuff. A record collection is something you built, one sleeve at a time. It deserves better than a milk crate and a shelf that sags. The turntable sits up top. Your receiver or integrated amplifier lives in the open bay below it. The records file upright behind solid hardwood dividers, with room alongside for the books and oversized sleeves that never fit anywhere else. Cut into the top is a slot that stands an album cover upright — whatever is spinning, or whatever is next, leans there where you can see it. Why records live better upright A 12" LP sleeve is 12 3/8" square, and vinyl bends under its own weight. Stacked flat, the records at the bottom of the pile carry everything above them. Leaning in a half-empty shelf, they slowly take on the angle they are leaning at. The dividers break the run into short bays, so every record stands square and supported on both sides, with its weight on the edge where the record can take it. Features Amish made in small artisan batches Flamed maple with walnut Turntable platform across the top Album display slot routed into the top surface Open component bay sized for a receiver or integrated amplifier Divided LP storage with solid hardwood dividers Room for books and oversized sleeves alongside the records Several coats of durable catalyzed lacquer One only. When it's gone it's gone — though we can build another in the same wood, or in any species from our library. See the full Record Console range.
