Please allow 24-48 hours before these bags are shipped.  Refrigerate the substrate if you don't plan on using within a few days of receiving it.  Please Note: We HIGHLY recommend using the substrate within 2 weeks of receiving it. Naturally, substrates contain a host of microorganisms. Like all mycology vendors, we steam pasteurize our substrate to kill off most of these possible contaminants. However, since this process isn't technically sterilization it may leave some thermally resistant spores behind. This is widely known and accepted in mycology because at this stage you're introducing a substantial amount of fungus (spawn) that will quickly take over the substrate.  DISCLAIMER: We in no way are implying or intending that this product is for the cultivation of illegal species of fungi. Only you are responsible for your own actions.
