Reading Cardigan

An allover shaker rib gives this sweater its bookish appeal. A boxy shape that’s smart too, this cardigan features subtle fit enhancements from compound raglan curves, hidden short rows at center back neck, and gentle waist darts that keep the boxy fit flattering, not overwhelming. The textural design lines of shaker rib spotlight unique shaping details throughout the garment: a deep V-neckline and unique ornamental sleeve shaping that is mirrored on right and left sides. The not-quite-shawl collar is double-thick with an inner facing (worked all-in-one piece with the rest of the sweater) that creates a finish that’s both clean and cozy. Optional button or clasp closures may be added, with invisible buttonholes concealed on the inside of the cardigan facing. Worked completely seamlessly from the top down, choose from different length options for both body and sleeves to get a custom proportion that’s just right for you. Try the garment on as you go and make length adjustments as you work to get the perfect fit. Designer: Jared Flood Share on social #ReadingCardigan
