RD1 Amburana Wood-Finished Bourbon

RD One Double Finished in Oak and Maple Barrels is a delightful fusion of innovation and tradition, designed to captivate bourbon lovers with its rich, dessert-like flavors. This unique expression starts with RD1 Spirits' Kentucky Straight Bourbon, aged for over four years to develop its classic bourbon character. The real magic begins with the double finishing process, where the team incorporates a sophisticated blend of artistry and science. The first finish uses French Oak staves, which are steeped in a patented process involving pressure, oxygen, time, and temperature to create the ideal infusion. The second finish comes from maple syrup, introduced to the French Oak staves through this innovative process, allowing the syrup to deeply permeate the wood. The result is a molecular transformation that fuses the flavors of the oak and maple syrup, creating a rich, layered profile. After this intricate preparation, the staves are inserted into the bourbon barrels for additional aging. The influence of the French Oak and maple syrup gives the bourbon a warm, inviting sweetness, reminiscent of maple-glazed pancakes on a cozy morning. The flavors of rich caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak are elevated by the sweet, buttery essence of maple syrup, creating a bourbon that is both indulgent and incredibly smooth. Perfect for sipping neat or on the rocks, RD One Double Finished in Oak and Maple Barrels delivers an unforgettable tasting experience that feels like the ultimate comfort treat. It’s a bottle that bourbon aficionados and those with a sweet tooth will find equally appealing, offering a balanced and luxurious finish that keeps you coming back for more. TASTING NOTES Aged four years in French oak staves and maple syrup, this whiskey offers a welcoming sweetness of molasses and caramel corn, with a nutty side note of pecan. Rounded, rich, and smooth, it has plenty of length and breadth built along a complex body of balanced weight and intensity.
