RB2206D Low Bridge Fit

Substantial Style, Precision Stability. The RB2206D is a bold, contemporary frame that features a heavy acetate construction and a structured, square-shaped lens. This specific "D" (Asian Design/Low Bridge Fit) edition is engineered to ensure that this high-volume, architectural frame stays perfectly balanced on the face for those with specific facial structures. The Low Bridge Fit Breakdown Because the RB2206D is a "thick-frame" model, its weight requires a precise fit to prevent slipping. The Low Bridge Fit (often called "Alternative Fit") provides the necessary structural changes to achieve this: Built-Up Nose Pads: The acetate nose pads are physically enlarged and "built-up" to sit further out from the frame. This provides a much more secure mounting point for those with a shallower or lower nose bridge, preventing the frames from sliding down the face. Optimized Bridge Width: The bridge is designed to be narrower and sit higher. This allows the frame to grip the nose more effectively, keeping the lenses properly aligned with your pupils rather than sitting too low. Modified Frame Tilt: The "pantoscopic tilt" (the vertical angle of the lenses) is adjusted to be more upright. This prevents the bottom of these thick frames from resting on your cheekbones, ensuring they don't move when you smile or speak. RB2206D Design: Modern Minimalism The RB2206D offers a clean, "blocked" aesthetic that feels both industrial and high-fashion: The Frame: Crafted from premium, high-density acetate in Transparent Grey. This see-through smoky finish softens the bold, thick profile of the frame, making it versatile for all skin tones and outfits. The Lenses: Equipped with high-clarity Dark Grey lenses that provide a neutral visual experience and 100% UV protection. Signature Details: Features unique vertical metal rivets on the front and the iconic Ray-Ban logo on the robust, wide temples.
