Woodburning is a fantastic way to add detail and interest to your carving projects, and Razertip's new Feather Formers make it easier than ever to create realistic feather textures. These simple tools allow you to quickly burn in the basic shape of a feather, as well as the barb texture. Not only is this faster than burning each individual barb individually, but it also creates a more consistent look. Additionally, painting a "feather-formed" surface is easier because the texture is not too deep. Once your bird has been textured with Feather Formers, you can come back with your regular pens to create stray barbs or splits as desired, or you can continue on with stoning techniques. To use the Feather Former Heavy Duty Chisel Tip you need First, you'll need a Razertip wood burning unit.  Second, you'll need a BPH Interchangeable Handle. The handle excepts a variety of tip sizes and shapes, so you can create different effects and lines.  Finally, make sure you have a heavy-duty cord; you'll need it to use the tips.  With these tips in mind, you're ready to start wood burning!
