Taste of Heaven™ Thornless blackberry Rubus 'Ponca' With these inch-long fruits, the ratio is ideal, unlike some choices that are all seed and no liquid. Because this kind is thornless, you will be able to enjoy harvesting for several weeks during the summer without ever getting cut. Technically, you don't need to maintain this variety if you keep it properly trimmed because it bears fruit on second-year canes. If you intend to grow a few, trellising them will make it simpler to pick and trim them.
