Jewel Raspberry Bush

You might be able to wander the local fields and find some Jewel Black Raspberry Bushes (Rubus idaeus 'Jewel') growing wild, but it's so much easier to plant your own so you can pick them at your leisure? Jewel Black raspberries start out red but transform into a rich burgundy to deep purple as they ripen! Black Raspberries are sweet and juicy, full of that raspberry flavor that you love! But you won't want to eat all of them straight from the cane! You'll want to save some to bake with, freeze, or turn into delectable jam and syrup too! The Jewel Black Raspberry is a vigorous variety that will provide you with a good crop, year after year, and it's everbearing so you'll enjoy a second fall crop as well! It's self-pollinating and attracts endless pollinators to its small pearly, petite blossoms. Order plenty of plants so you and your local bees and birds can eat until full! Planting and Application: These tall, but narrow growing shrubs are fantastic for berry orchards or in linear orchards, pulling double duty as hedges and privacy! Plant a few around your property to keep unwanted visitors out, but bring in smaller wildlife and songbirds, who love to nest in the thick branching. You'll love having sweet berries at an arms reach around seating areas for screening. Do a little edible landscaping with your kids so they can go out and graze on them as they enjoy their summer. Imagine them running around with juice-stained cheeks from berries they picked off your homegrown fruit bushes!
