Bulleit White Label RARE (Buffalo Trace)

Bulleit Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Thoroughbred is a testament to bold, Frontier-style bourbon, bottled at a robust 100 proof. Its high-rye mashbill delivers a dynamic balance of sweet caramel and peppery spice, culminating in a deeply satisfying and versatile sipping experience for the discerning bourbon enthusiast. Tasting Notes Nose: A vibrant and inviting nose, immediately greeted by sweet corn and caramel, characteristic of a high-rye mashbill. Underlying notes of dried orange peel, vanilla bean, and a hint of baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg emerge, with a subtle waft of toasted oak. There's a light herbaceous quality that adds complexity. Palate: The palate arrives with a confident, full-bodied presence, warming yet well-balanced. Initial flavors of rich vanilla and sticky toffee intertwine with a peppery rye spice that tingles the mid-palate. Darker fruit notes, like dried cherry or plum, develop alongside roasted nuts and a pleasant char. The 100 proof makes its presence known without being overly aggressive, contributing to a robust mouthfeel. Finish: A long, satisfying finish that leaves a persistent warmth. The rye spice lingers, morphing into a delightful interplay of black pepper and clove. Sweet oak tannins become more pronounced, with a final echo of dark chocolate and a hint of leather. It’s a clean and moderately drying finish, inviting another sip. About the Distillery Bulleit Frontier Whiskey, rooted in a family recipe dating back to the 1800s, was revived by Tom Bulleit in 1987. Known for its distinctively high-rye mashbill, Bulleit produces bourbons and ryes celebrated for their bold, spicy character. While historically distilled elsewhere, Bulleit now boasts its own modern distillery in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
