Easy to Grow: Reliable performance with minimal maintenance when planted in sunny, well-drained soil. Growing Ranunculus Aviv Bulbs For best results, pre-soak Aviv ranunculus tubers for 3–4 hours before planting. Plant claw-side down 1 inch deep and 6 inches apart in full sun. In USDA zones 8–10, plant in fall for early summer blooms. In colder climates, grow as annuals or lift and store the tubers after foliage dies back in fall. Climate and Soil Requirements This ranunculus thrives in zones 8–10 and requires well-draining soil to prevent rot. For zones 7 and below, it’s best to treat the plants as annuals or lift the tubers for overwintering indoors. Sunlight and Watering Full sun exposure ensures robust flowering. Water regularly but allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings to avoid oversaturation. Care and Maintenance Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continuous bloom. Once flowering is complete, allow foliage to yellow before lifting and storing the tubers in a dry, cool location.
