Riders may always reference the markings on their tires for allowed pressures ranges, but may also consult wtb.com for the most up-to-date tire pressure recommendations from WTB. We calculate pressure recommendations based on an average rider weight of 160-180 lbs and suggest increasing our minimum recommended pressure on WTB.com by 2-3psi for every additional 10 lbs of rider weight. Never exceed the maximum tire pressure marked on a tire. TRITEC AND SLASH GUARD:  Ranger 2.4 tires feature TriTec Compound, which utilizes three rubber compounds to provide different levels of traction, support and durability based on their placement within the tread. The entire tread pattern is supported by a base of high durometer rubber, which also transitions halfway into the height of the knobs and allows for the use of softer knob compounds without the tire folding due to cornering forces. The top of the center knobs consist of a medium durometer compound to provide traction and durability without sacrificing rolling efficiency, while the outer knobs feature the softest compound to deliver maximum grip and slow rebound. TCS Light versions of the Ranger 2.4 feature our Slash Guard technology, which provides a nylon insert within the sidewall of the tire to provide additional sidewall protection. 2.4 Size Level ETRTO GMS Tubeless Compatibility Casing Weight Compound Min-Max Pressure* Part Number 29 x 2.4" TCS Light/Fast Rolling + Slash Guard 55-622 59/61 TCS Tubeless Single-ply 60 tpi + sidewall protection 1013g TriTec 20-35 psi W010-0735 29 x 2.4"  TCS Light/High Grip + Slash Guard 55-622 59/61 TCS Tubeless Single-ply 60 tpi + sidewall protection 1049g TriTec 20-35 psi W010-0734 29 x 2.4" TCS Tough/Fast Rolling 55-622 59/61 TCS Tubeless Dual-ply 60 tpi 1138g TriTec 20-35 psi W010-0733 29 x 2.4" TCS Light/Fast Rolling (tanwall) 55-622 59/61 TCS Tubeless Single-ply 60 tpi 1013g Dual DNA 20-35 psi W010-0785 *WTB's tire pressure recommendations have changed over time due to further developments in technology.
