A Random Flow Generator does exactly what its name implies, it creates random waterflow in your aquarium.  Traditional return nozzles are great for cycling water through the tank but they all have one inherent drawback, the waterflow is directed in a straight line that never varies.  Since corals have adapted over millions of years to thrive in oceans with random, changing currents and waterflow this isn’t always ideal.   The direct flow from this setup can also sometimes create bare spots on the bottom of the tank where the sand has been blown away by the current.  A Reef Casa Random Flow Generator solves this problem by using the principles of fluid dynamics to create random flow patterns with absolutely no moving parts to require cleaning or maintenance.  Best of all, they install in seconds with no tools or plumbing skills required. While the main advantage of a Random Flow Generator is improved coral heath and polyp extension, the randomized flow can also help to reduce dead spots in the aquarium, which will mean more detritus is collected in the filter floss and less buildup in the tank.  Many hobbyists also report that their fish are more active after the installation of a Random Flow Generator. While all Reef Casa aquariums provide more than ample water flow with the included return nozzle, the addition of a Random Flow Generator is a great first step towards mastering the elusive art of reef tank flow.
